It is designed to promote search.optimum.icu (an address of a fake search engine) by changing browser's settings and add the "Managed by your organization" feature. OptimumSearch promotes its fake search engine by setting address of a default search engine, homepage and new tab to search.optimum.icu. Simply said, it is designed to make sure that users would visit that address when they open a browser, new tab and/or enter search queries into URL bar. Search.optimum.icu is called a fake search engine because it provides search results generated by Google search engine. In other words, it redirects users to google.com.
